Lighting Renovation at Petts Wood Methodist Church
Petts Wood Methodist Church
Petts Wood, Kent

This lighting renovation project aimed to enhance the architectural beauty of Petts Wood Methodist Church while preserving its historic charm. The design focused on illuminating the church’s high vaulted ceilings and restoring the existing decorative chandeliers, while also integrating modern, energy-efficient LED lighting. The lighting scheme ensures the space remains functional and sustainable, with flexible controls that accommodate a variety of uses.
The lighting design preserved the church’s grandeur by carefully highlighting its architectural features. The restored chandeliers were paired with LED lighting to balance historic aesthetics with contemporary needs. The interior lighting accentuates the soaring ceilings and tranquil spaces, creating a warm and welcoming environment for worship and community activities.
Exterior lighting was carefully planned to highlight the church’s silhouette, ensuring it stands as a beacon of light for the Petts Wood community. The project was completed in the summer of 2024, blending modern technology with historic design, ensuring the church continues to shine brightly for generations to come. This renovation reflects the power of collaboration and thoughtful design in preserving and enhancing a cherished community space.
